Cenotes are the inland counterpoint to beach days — cool water, jungle shade, and a reason to rent a car or book a driver.

We recommend starting early, bringing cash for entry, and packing the dry bag we leave in the villa closet.

If you only do one, ask us which is least crowded that week — it changes.
